ANOTHER PATH (OR CAMINO)OF YEMAYA! THE OCEAN OF BLOOD(FOR ALL SHIPWRECK VICTIMS).
As with most orishas, there are several paths, or Caminos, of this divinity. One path of Yemaya is the sister of Oshún, who lives and plays with her in the river. Another path is an “ocean of blood” who cares for all the shipwreck victims. Yet another avatar oversees all the buried treasure that lies at the bottom of the ocean. There is a common belief that Yemaya is always a gentle mother. But don't cross her—or cause harm to her children—or you will see the full depths of the anger that this orisha is capable of unleashing. Excerpt from
